well 7 months after my shoulder surgery, i am still having problems, ive not been in a gym this year
![]() i went for an xray no probs, and ive just been for an ultrasound and they said there is fluid on the bursar. the surgery was a nightmare i ended up with an infection and back in hospital twice, but its just been never right since. It really is the worst decision I ever made having this done. Anyone know much about bursitis? They wanted to give me cortisone inj but after having a giant needle in my shoulder joint trying to aspirate fluid when i had a problem before i just couldnt bare to do it again, so its pretty much out of the question for me ![]() any ideas anyone? |

My father and father-in-law both had infections both surgery recently that turned out to be a recurring nightmare.
Sorry I don't know anything about bursitis, hope you get it all squared away and can get back in the gym. Sucks to not be able to keep in good physical condition. |

Cortisone will only mask the pain and may injure the joint as well.
Ive seen Celebrex work wonders but its all individualistic. Light weights obviously and maybe a run of Celebrex may work. gator |

I will give the celebrex a go, its pretty messy, I really dont want the injection after the last time i got the needle stuck in there to releive the infection, it wasnt fun.
they reckon the cortisone will actually releive the build up of fluid and i would only need it a couple of times, not a long term thing personally id prefer another operation to the injections, i just wanna get it right |

Quit masturbating so much. That will decrease the pain and help it heal faster. Worked for me....I mean my brother.

My girl has that in her left shoulder.. She had xrays nothing, but still complained so they ended up sending her to a specialist.. He then determined it to be bursitis prescribed her 800mg ibuprofens.. Those were a joke, so I would give her some of my pain killers.. I use to take enough shit to send an ox to rehab, I'm not bragging either.. My back kills me everyday, I found that the narcotics was causing me pain in other ways as well.. Docs advised me not to come off of them which I did.. I know at some point in my life I will have to go back on them as I get older but right now I don't want to sleep all the time..
I let her quit her job so she could finish school.. She had a BS job anyways allot of repetitive monition.. Since she's quit she doesn't hardly ever complain of pain.. she says it'll flair up every now and then but other than that it's allot better.. I would say it's just something you have to "baby".. Like me I know if I do certain things or bend a certain way my back will start hurting me.. I've had my back go out before it's no fun laying on the bed not being able to get up.. At the time I had no insurance and my girl friend kept telling me if I didn't get up she was calling 911.. I knew I could afford that so I manage to pull myself up on the head board and walk to the living room.. Set down in my chair and could get up again.. I have a friend that screwed up his rotator cup and not he's pretty much limited on what he can and can't do with his shoulder.. I think it's all about finding your own limits and understanding what you can and can't do anymore.. I know it's sucks due to the fact that your into BB.. Honestly though go back to the basics and do the exercises the doctors recommend.. Even though them seem ridiculous and like something elementary school kids do in gym class.. Those power bands can really help.. I doubted rehab myself until about 5 weeks into it I started noticing the guy actually knew what he was talking about.. |

I finally got signed off from the hospital, i do feel its got a bit better, but i refused the injection they wanted to get me, i really dont wanna go down that route.
im gonna go physio at the hospital and see where i get, cos i also have the bad back, i know i can perch on the edge of chair when i get up, i know i cant sit funny, i know i cant lift things weird, i also end up totally screwed at times with that, but my shoulder is different, i would have to accept i cant go gym again if i was to accept this |
