its been a while since I've been in shape. I have the normal excuses, busy schedule, not enough free time, no good gyms near by blah blah blah.
It's all crap and I know it, so I'm joining a nearby gym, and working at getting back into the shape I was at. I still hate gym cardio, so I'm going to be cycling with my fixed gear. ![]() This is a single-speed bike without a freewheel; that is, whenever the bike is in motion, the pedals will go around. You cannot coast on a fixed-gear bike. To slow down you have to resist the pedals (if you're a wuss you can use brakes, but Im not a fan). I was wondering if anyone else in this forum cycles as their cardio routine. If so, how long do you ride, and how often? I'm looking to make a cardio, lifting, and diet schedule, so input would be nice. |

I cycle...or walk.
That is... when i actually do cardio. During contest prep I walk/cycle to and from the gym to supplement any cardio i do at the gym. On weekends i ride for an hour or so. I never do roadwork in a fasted state however. -C
