Default Need some routine help

I have used West Side splits in the past with great success , but I am needing some help while I am in my "fit" craze. I want to get leaner and can care less about strength, just more maintaining. I was told by trainers at my gym (mind you I do NOT train at a Gold's I train at one of the top gym's in the north east and it is VERY strongman and Powerlifting friendly and I trust these guys 1000 % ) that you can do a full body split 3 times a week where you focus for example Monday a rep max squat but you do upper body work and lower body work, then wednesday a upper body max then Friday is dynamic work like Kettle bell snatches , cleans etc. I kind of get what they mean but have NO idea on how I would put together a routine like that so I am asking for help for those who are more experienced with this than I .

Why would you change your training per se?

If 'lean' and 'fit' are your goals, why do you not just stick with your current training, but manipulate cardio and calories?

What better to maintain what you've built, than what you did to build it?

Well I have been doing the west side splits for a while, I am not training or eating for strength , I am doing currently a bit more volume with less rest time in between sets and just worried more about maintaining. I have already lost 7.5 lbs from diet and cardio, more so diet than cardio changes.

Also I took some time off and my lifts are down, I am figuring to just get in shape before focusing on getting stronger during the winter time. For now I am looking for something to do lifting wise while adjusting diet and cardio if that makes sense.
