Sunday- Rest
Monday- Morning (2miles) Afternoon or late Evening (2.5miles) Tuesday- 5miles Wednesday- Morning (2.5miles) Afternoon or late Evening (2miles) Thursday- 5miles Friday- Morning (2miles) Afternoon or late Evening (2.5miles) Saturday- 5miles This has been my running routine for like a week now. It's hard cause i'm not a runner. I can see differance already in my legs. Is this wrong; is this running workout to much. I'm open to all suggestions. Goals: Lose weight Tone and Definition Faster Runner Also one more question. Is it possiable to increase muscle mass or at least maintain my muscle mass? I do have a muscle workout but left it out. If I need to enter it in and my diet too then tell me. |

That's a lot of running, but with your goals I can why. I do A LOT of cardio, but my whole regimen is based around strength. My cardio consists of a good walking speed with a pretty good distance (a few miles)...Don't expect to get huge legs when running that much. I would suggest sprinting if you want more of a muscular development opposed to endurance of the muscles. |

It takes strength or mass to sprint fast.
The stronger you are the faster you should be able to run, however, there is a limit and you can get too big to run fast, because you are carrying that mass with you. If you continue to train, and stretch you should not get too big. You should not be losing mass unless you are doing distance training, just running will not cause you to lose mass.
