Default Crossfit Baby!!!! Now that's a workout!!

As some of you may know I have competely switched over my training to Crossfit. I'm training at one of their affiliates where I live and I have never seen results in strength and conditoning as well as the way I look faster. The workouts are like none I have ever done before. I have been brought to the point of throwing up and my body has tried to convince me to just fall down and die on more then one occasion but I just keep pushing on. What I like about it is you get the best of all training worlds, with heavy lifts like Cleans, clean and jerks, snatches, squats, Over head squats, deads and so on as well as the conditioning side of things with none stop workouts. For example Burpee's to chinups for 100reps for time. This one is called GI Jane.

Feel free to check it out at Welcome to CrossFit: Forging Elite Fitness

Here is a great video to check out one of there workouts. You guys/gals have to give this a try. Go to their website Welcome to CrossFit: Forging Elite Fitness and select the download under today's date. June 20th, 2008 it is titled CrossFit Certification Seminar: Lunch-time Workout - video You'll love it!!

If you have any questions feel free to post'em up.

I checked it out myself and it looks pretty intense, probably one of the best programs I've even seen for developing strength and conditioning. I haven't given it a try yet though. Good to hear you're enjoying it. Let us know how you progress.

It really is an awesome program. Just don't expect to get huge on the program. It's not designed for that. It is designed to give you excellent functional strength and cardio capacity.

What I am doing is the equivalent of 4 or 5 WOD's rolled into one workout. I am doing lactic acid training so I can continue to fire hands and feet at the end of the fight when my body is completely slammed with lactic acid. The exercises incorporate some from crossfit, as well as exercises designed specifically for my style of fighting. I love it! I feel like warmed over dog shit for about 12 hours afterwards.....but I love the results I am getting from it. No way in hell would I do this type of training if I were not prepping for a fight. Instead, I would do regular crossfit. I firmly believe it is an excellent system for those wanting to be healthy and in great looking shape as well.

Maxed out at 85lbs for 15reps.

Haven't posted a workout in a little while so I thought I would throw up today.

WOD 15 deads @ 135lbs
15 pushups chest to the floor on every rep
10 rounds for time.

Time = 12:22 dropped over 4 mins from the first time I did this workout 16:44...Man is this a tough one. Anyone willing to give it a try??? I'll gonna try to get sub 10mins next time.

I haven't been getting to the gym as much as I usually do b/c I've been busy with a home remodel project. But once I get back to my regular schedule I'm going to try this. I used to do a military PT type training program (pre-BUDs) which is similar to crossfit in terms of functionality and I was in the best shape of my life doing that. Looking forward to more of the same from crossfit.

If you need a hand bro feel free to ask away. I'm heading to Cali shortly to get my level 1 cert. as I'm looking to open my own affiliate club very soon. I have never been in better shape in my entire life and I honestly owe it all to Crossfit and the people involved in it. No were will you find a group of people who will motivate and push you to limits you never though were possible.
