Default Just had surgery.....HELP

Sorry for the repost..........

Ok so I just had my apendix taken out. They said I need to NOT lift for atleast a month. What should I expect to lose? Would taking protien shakes help keep the muscle?

Also he said if I dont wait long enough ill have a hernea! So will I ever be able to bench 300 again?

Thanks,Shaine

All you can do is make sure you're eating enough calories/protein to discourage your body from breaking down the muscle.

A month isn't that bad. My Dr was talking to me about having back sugery and I wouldn't be able to lift for a year after that.

Uh just wait.

You are not going to die.

The layoff will probably be good for you. Trust me you will bounce back pretty quick.

like JD said, just keep the diet up and make sure you're fueling the muscle you have already...just do what the doc says to make sure you minimize your time off, instead of prolonging it even more. muscle memory is a beautiful thing...it wont take long to bounce back
