a warm compress twice daily for 20 mins will help bring it out. its not 100% but it could work.

How bout you try 'not' picking at it?

Picking at it.. trying to get it to 'pop' will only irritate it.

And..depending on whether or not you cleanse the area and your hands first, you'll infect it.. irritating it more.

If it's definitely an ingrown hair... give your chick a needle and a bottle of alcohol.. Let her go down there, pull the hair from under the skin (where it's lodged)..and press an alcohol-soaked cotton wool piece on the hair bump.

That should clean it up so it can heal properly and quickly.

The problem with an in-grown hair is the hair has curved and is growing back into the skin. (I"m sure you know this). If it is only getting more red and inflamed, it most likely is becoming infected. An old cajun remedy for this is to soak your entire sack in a bucket of leeches.....

had that problem b4; had to let it grow till it was big enough to pop out. soaked in warm/hot towel and when the skin was pliable was able to get it out; with needle nose tweezers. had to really let it grow so there was something to tweeze out.

Once you have your problem sorted out.... if you ever shave/wax again make sure you regularly exfoliate as this will stop them getting ingrown in the first place.... the easiest way is to use one of them exfoliating gloves while you are in the shower... be gentle until you get used to it though!

exfoliating doesn't seem to stop my facial ingrown hairs
