I'm thinking about going on test replacement therapy. I've just started researching the subject and wanted to see if anyone here is actually on it. I've had blood tests done to analyze test levels and they're always at the bottom end of the normal range. I'm not sure if I'll qualify for some kind of therapy b/c I am still technically in the normal range. I'm only 30 years old but I've got some classic symptoms of low test. My libido is non-existant (I tried supplements, no change), difficulty focusing mentally, low energy levels, etc. I'm going to see an endocrinologist to discuss my options.
Basically I'm looking for someone's experience with test replacement therapy and their view of the pro's and con's. |

I am 37 years old and have been on Test for about 5 months now as prescribed by my doctor. Every other week I get a 200mg injection.
I can ell you that for sure without a doubt your sexdrive is gonna improve alot, Your not gonna get huge in the gym, but it does seem to help with recovery time. I have not noticed any "cons" because of the treatment. |

Hey there, I'm 38 and have been on HRT/TRT for 8 years and owned my own HRT/TRT clinic in Atlanta a few of those years. There are no side effects IMO. Make sure you watch your PSA number. They are getting REALLY strict with "you must 35+ years old". Don't spend a crazy about of money seeing a endcrinologist, any MD or DO that is in general practice can script you Testosrone. Bottom range Test level will not get you there. You might be able to find a doctor that will script you but I hate to say its highly unlikely. My TRT is 300mg cyp/every 10 days. That keep my blood levels at 1000-1100ng/ml. Mine was prescribed the same as Danzigs (200mg / 2 wks) but I adjusted it since I get 10ml's per month (ya...don't ask, why my insurance makes me mail order (it auto re-order and they send that amount every month..). Some doc REALLY like using hCG, that may be another option instead of TRT. Good Luck Bro, keep us posted.

My blood levels were around 220ng/ml. The range said 200 was the minimum normal.
I'll try the endo and see what he says. I'm hoping something can be done. My only concern is libido. Maybe I can get a script from one of those online clinics (if there are any left after all the busts). Thanks for the comments. Last edited by JdFlex : 01-30-2008 at 06:35 PM. |

Been on for about a year. Had to jump through the hoops. Urologist, then he referred me a an endo for an MRI of my Pituitary gland, then he prescribed Androgel. I do 10 grams per day...only 10mg is absorbed so don't get exictied. The only "con" to it is my nuts have shrunk to the sized of small walnuts. And for The Teabagger that is somewhat embarrasing.
If I could get 100mg per week of injection I'd do it that way. As a matter of fact I may hit my uro up for that. Good luck. |
