Sapp to Return At Strikeforce Tacoma

Strikeforce on Monday announced that it will make its Tacoma, Washington debut on Feb. 23 at the 23,000-seat Tacoma Dome. The 10-bout event is entitled “Strikeforce At The Dome” and will be presented by BodogFIGHT.

Pride and K-1 veteran Bob Sapp will make his return to the fight world in the event’s headline bout. In addition, former Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight titleholder Maurice Smith will face six-time world kickboxing champion Rick Roufus.

Sapp has not fought a mixed martial arts bout since defeating Kim Jong Wang two years ago in South Korea.

Following a six-year hiatus, Smith defeated fellow UFC veteran Marco Ruas as part of an International Fight League event in Chicago in May 2007. Roufus will be making his MMA debut against Smith.

I feel bad for whoever sapp fights...It'll be interesting to see roufous fight, dude is badass on his feet and now I guess we'll see what kind of ground game or defense he has...
