Default Sharp pain on my outer foot when jogging/ruinning

Iv been getting a really sharp and uncofortable pain on the outside of my foot, starting around my ankle joint and extending to the middle of my foot (just before it reaches my little toe). What started this off was I was at training one evening and tumbled over on it. It hurts most when I try to turn my foot to face inwards or if I run or jog on it. It does hurt sometimes to walk on it, but not too much and sometimes it doesnt hurt at all to walk on. Tried doing a google check on it and what I could find that sounded like it was something to do with my peroneal tendon or a stress fracture of my 5th metatarsul. However, theres no swelling and it doesnt hurt at all to touch or massage. This has been going on about 2 weeks I think.

Has anybody experienced anything like this at all? Gonna keep putting ice on it and resting as often as I can. Thanks

I fractured my foot once and only my foot hurt. I had no pain in the ankle area and my foot hurt badly when i touched or rubbed the area. Yours sounds more tendon related. I would just get it checked by a doc to make sure.

there is a very small muscle in that area which often cramps up on me. so it definately could be tendon issues. it could be a basketball ankle which is basically just a roll of the ankle aka sprain. maybe some slight ligament bruising or damage. it doesnt need to sweel to be sprained. inflammation could just be subtle in be in the tendons and ligaments and not in the actual muscle tissue of the area. possible hairline depending on your bones
