You make a good point chicamahomico..maybe it will take some sliding sales and tough times to force these North American car producers to wake up and start demanding better quality in their production...a turn-around in the future is possible, but they have quite the reputation to overcome

my welding instructor said everytime he looks at an american-made car, all the welds are really bad (spatter, slag inclusions, etc). Dunno if there's anything to that...
