Well I have noticed two main things when comparing the two.
The first, and biggest one, is the waist sizes. I know waist size is majorly genetics and bf but the pro's now have way bigger waists than the pro's in the past. This gets me to thinking, is it because of their training? Are the deadlifts and squats actually putting size on their waist? I've always been really curious about why this is so. Also... You could compare upper bodies between a past pro and a present pro and many would actually be similar (Arnold's for example). But when you look at the legs, there is absolutely no comparison. Has there just been a complete change in the way legs have been trained? Is it because shows back then didn't pay as much attention to legs? I just don't see how the change in upperbodies can only be slight (exceptions of course) but lower body comparisons are not even comparable because they are so different. |

If you are talkin visual changes, yes, waist and quads by far. Quad size is amazing nowadays. Look at Zane's quads..........he had similar quads to mine and was winning left and right. Now i couldnt even get on stage with legs like mine.
Gut size can largly be attributed to GH use. Look at someone in the top 10 of the olymipa who doesnt abuse GH, like Darrem Charles. Tiny waist, huge body, but not the huge genetic freak body like Coleman, Cutler, or Badell. But you also gotta see that he doesnt have the waist like them either. Some would say "well, they trimmed down some this year". Yea, some but the GH gut was still there (badell trimmed a LOT) |
