Nearly every car made nowadays is reliable if it is maintained. Even domestic cars. EVEN korean cars. It is all relative. Buy what you like, take care of it, it will take care of you. Used toyotas and hondas are overpriced IMO. I have a Camry, but I got it for about 4 grand less than most people outside the car business can.

How do you walk out of the door with the best deal possible?

Credit not being a problem

If you have a trade call and get the pay off. Then when the salesperson asks what you owe, accidently tell him double the amount. This will make them take a shit load of money off the new car to make up for the negative equity.

If no trade is involved say you went to their competitor and got an offer of 200 below invoice. Only use this if you are ready to buy.

It's easy to get a good deal on a car. Just have to lie.

I have a corvette as you know ... would you say its worth it for me to trade it in ...using the method that you gave to mass of course. because the car has about 10 grand in parts labour etc in it. I don't expect to get it back but I dont want to walk in there and get the well, it dont count here crap....you'll get the same without the mods garbage.

or should I sell it privately? Its going into storage in the next few weeks.

actually my question isn't really a question more of a what the hell am I gonna do with the money pit type thing...considering I drove the pig a handful of times this summer.

I want a all year rounder like a navigator or something.

what a dumb post I just made but I typed it out and it took this long so im postin it.

Sell the vette. The modifications mean nothing on a trade, but they will definetly mark it up when they sell it.

If you're FICA score isn't 700 or better you may need proof of income.

Many things go in to a FICA score. It is the God of credit. Only way to find it out is to have your credit ran.
