Default Westside Training - Conjugated Periodization

This is probably the best basic read I have found to date about the Westside method of training. It explains their basics very well.

"The Westside method is a periodization program known as conjugated periodization. Simply put, this means that several abilities are coupled together throughout the training. The Western method of periodization separates these variables while the Westside method puts it all together at the same time. The entire Westside method is centered around three basic pathways to strength development:

1. Max Effort
2. Repetition
3. Dynamic Effort

BUMP - alot of people have been asking for a basic read outlining WS, so here it is.... I'll stick it up for a lil while....

Lots of other articles by Dave, Louie, etc... in this forum as well, just have to look back a few pages.

me too if possible Blown? im following a HIT by Mondo (just started in fact) but im interested how this falls together

HAHA Sure... I'm not an Elite lifter or anything, but I do use many of their principles... The link that is provided above outlines what you need to do. For instance, a common example would look like this:

Generally, I work Volume days instead of Speed days though.

Okay a few more questions.

1. Is this normaly done as a 2 on one off routine
2. Does this mean you do maximum effort days in chest,then legs then later do two days at a lower intensity.

Okay one more question if my upper doby is lacking can I alternate between DE/ME days on chest and stick with ME days for legs.
